...even seeing conspiracies behind every move.

I don't think there is conspiracy behind every move. Rather as Newt Gingrich so aptly put it in "Meet the Press" yesterday, there are some folks in the Bush WH who have their own agenda and take off doing things on their and deliberately ignore the Bush philosophies that he outlines in the speeches he makes. Hence it appears like conspiracies. Similar to the Iran-Contra where Reagan did not authorize anything nor did he even have any knowledge what went on. And poor Ollie North, who is a true patriot and a decorated Marine was made the fall guy.

Regarding the troops. I think we all have the highest regards for them. I am against the Iraqi war. But I am totally against ill treating the returning troops. The respect to them is because they obeyed the orders of their Commander-in-Cheief, a trait that we need our children to emulate in our respective families. Those troops are sitting dicks in Iraq and they are walking around not knowing when they will be killed by a sniper bullet. But at the same time we need to find a solution where they do not kill civilians and children. We cannot brush that off as "collateral damage." That is against American values and ethics where we would rather let a ciminal escape if it was a choice between that and saving a innocent life. If we do not agree with this value and rule it off as "collateral damage", then we fail to distinguish ourselves from OBL and Al-Qaeda when they attack the WTC. And definitely not, Bush or any American official for that matter was not behind 9/11. I don't visit that thread, period. However, I am against how Bush is running his politics and I would hope you would agree that it is fine in a democracy.
