Yes Americans who served their country can have and display their flag proudly. And Americans who feel that America has done some wrong can burn their flag in protest if they want to. It's freedom. I know it's messy, and it probably grates on you that you cannot control every person, and make them think and feel and do just as you would have them. Hitler tried that. Didn't work out so well.
