MV is a truly great athlete, but I think some of the comments made about the risks he is taking with his body might be well founded. I love running qb's, going back to Fran Tarkenton, but I don't think any qb can stay healthy for long if they subject themselves to the type of hits that these modern day NFL guys dish out. I hate to say it because a running qb adds a lot of excitement to the game, but the days of a running qb in the nfl seem to be over. McNabb, McNair and Culpepper all seem to have been reigned in. The organizations for which they play don't seem to want to risk what looks like a fairly good chance that their careers might be severely shortened.
