I understand it very well. If the result is GOOD, then Bush gets the credit. If the result if BAD, then someone else "was flying the plane," or equivalent.

I, and millions of others, will stand up and be counted on election day. Well....if they use the Diebold voting machines, we may not be counted. Shall we start a discussion on whether it's ok for a man who promised to deliver the election to Bush should be awarded the contract for voting machines, machines whose coding is subject to hacking, and machines which do NOT leave a paper trail on how someone voted?
