Ray, there is something known as guerilla war. The US army is not trained in fighting the guerrillas. According to intelligent sources, Osama has signaled Mullah Omar that Al-Qaeda would not have resources to support him and the Taliban in Afghanistan since the Al-Qaeda would be concentrating against the Americans in Iraq. That the US is isolated in Iraq and would find it very hard to get help from its major allies, the Al-Qaeda sees that as an opportunity to go against the US in Iraq.

If that should happen then it would force Bush to get off his high horse and seek the assistance from the French, Germans and Russians. Should that happen then eradicating the Al-Qaeda would be a attainable goal. If Bush refuses to get off his high horse, then Bush is in for serious trouble in Iraq.

I wouldn't go looking for Paul Bremer's credibility. He could say whatever he wants to. It is more important to see what the US does not what Bremer says.
