Dems realize they will have to play as tough and dirty as Karl Rove.

One of the principal reasons I've leaned towards Dean, is that I believe he will run a "give'um hell" campaign. Depending upon what you mean, I may disagree with dirty. It's hard to impossible, to maintain the mantle of good guy, while playing dirty. While you have to combat tough with tough, I believe you combat dirty with exposure and humor. It's not that challenging to make the Bush Neanderthals look ridiculous. I believe a significant fraction of the campaign war chest should be devoted to doing just that. It has the advantage of providing a stinging blow, but minimizing a deleterious backlash. And my guess is that the Bush Admin will react poorly to ridicule - and shoot themselves in the foot.
