Arafat really wants the destruction of Israel, not a Palestinian state, and plays an ongoing, duplicitous game with the other side and the international community. If the theory is true, neither of them is EVER going to produce a real solution, since a solution is not, and won't ever be, their objective.
Now that would make the efforts of the wild-eyed bunch in Switzerland a bit easier to understand, non?:)
