Nothwithstanding that, you and I are on common ground on electronic voting machines and electronic tabulation. Anything less than a permanent audit trail is absolutely unacceptable, invites fraud and abuse, and perhaps just as importantly, invites other would-be democracies to point to our own inadequacies.
