The question has to be asked, what would be the state of the Middle East and terrorism if Gore had been in the White House.

First of all, most certainly, Afghanistan would still have been totally in the hands of the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Iraq would still be a dangerous threat to the US, under the control of the madman, Saddam Hussein, and several cities within the US would have been targeted by Muslim/Arab sleeper cells.

Democrats believe in appeasement. Republicans realize that there is evil in the world and either we stop them, or we suffer the consequences.

Liberating Iraq from a terrorist regime has a high price to pay, but not as high as if we had waited until Saddam was able to strike back at the US.
