And the forces of decadence strike back with ferocity, the real terror of minds that is imposed by the elements of extreme..

Justice Sayeed Akhtar of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday summoned pop star Abrarul Haq to reply to a petition claiming he sang an “offensive” song about Punjabi women on January 14.

The petitioner, advocate MD Tahir, complained that the song, Nach Punjaban, is derogatory about Punjabi women. He earlier filed a petition asking for the song to be banned, but Mr Haq changed the lyrics of the song and replaced the word ‘Punjaban’ with ‘Majajan’. However, Mr Tahir alleged that Mr Haq had sung the original song at performances in Peshawar and London and this violated his commitment. —Staff Report
