I would to go to the ABX thread and argue with Russet pointing out that the hedge book lucrative and full of privileges as it is in the end will turn out as the nail to the coffin , but this is waste of time. Barrick is so corrupt and full of crime company like no other. You cannot deny they HAD full knowledge of Bre-X fake deposits, yet they didn't disclose it to the world. Let me ask you - how many millions of dollars were made by the executives of this company who took the short side while Bre-X was still a high flyer. Since when and in what country knowledge of the crime and not reporting this fact, but taking profit out of this knowledge is legal? How you'll explain to me the speed the media were put the muffler on about this? And for any positive movement in POG in the past year and a half you could always hear in Canadian media that the gold had a good day and gold stocks gained some ground led by the Barrick and Placer Dome. Folks who didn't bother even to check the score box didn't realize that on many occasions both of them actually lost the value. All corrupt investment advisors were sending people who wanted exposure to gold to go and buy ABX. And you know where the advisors and analysts are sending the rookies in since the stock exchanges were founded. Disclaimer - never had in my stock account Bre-x or Barrick even on daily trading.
