In a Fireside Chat on - and you're not going to believe the coincidence of this date - September 11, 1941, FDR told the nation, "When you see a rattlesnake poised to strike, you do not wait until he has struck before you crush him." Yes, if you see a rattle snake poised to strike take it out. The problem is that, while Saddam is deffinitely a snake, he has turned out to be a toothless garter snake. Apparently Dumbya is not bright enough to make the distinction. Shoot first and ask questions later. Better safe than sorry, right? Why is it our job to remove their snake? Why didn't they shoot their own snake. Why is it that the poor in this country must pull themselves up by their own boot straps but we can afford to spend billions removing the boots of an animal that doesn't even have legs? You Repugnants really crack me up with your consistency. jb
