I thought this was the strangest paragraph:

Not only has she differentiated between Jewish/Christian material and Christian art -but she has made a strange and subjective evaluation on the general knowledge of the clientele and at what point their lack of education allows them to see religious art without knowing it. Now there's a reliable standard.

It's been interesting watching the "Holiday Season" concerts unfold in the schools I am working. They have run the gamut from totally secular to really Christ-centered. We are singing a very Christian repertoire tomorrow night at one high schoool, and the teacher has been walking a tightrope trying to make it clear that you don't have to buy the myth to sing the music. Since he is clearly religious, I admire his efforts. It seems to me that most students aren't terribly bothered one way or the other. They are far more interested in each other and who has a crush on whom than in whether they are being brainwashed by singing O Holy Night. Santa, Frosty and Baby Jesus all seem to get the same attention- which isn't much.
