There are no reasons that ATML will go wrong at this time. Some odd events possible include a few of ATML's major fabs are burned down or destroyed by earth quake. If it is a manipulation, the manipulator would be hurt the most, any way. The other sellers/followers are the people who just don't know what they are doing. The market is never rational.
