you may be right, however...

if that seems to be an issue for you...
it might relieve you to consider that
the popular vote in the past three presdential
elections has gone in favor of candidates who hold
the same views on equality in merit and ability
that you and i hold.

i haven't ever heard the issue raised publicly,
or if it was, i haven't ever heard these
views on equality in merit and ability
publicly scorned.

OTOH, colli-fornia just elected someone
who was accused of mistreatment of women
and it didn't hurt his electability.

obviously, other factors carry much more weight
with voters.
