Hawk, is this not what we call imperialism? Where the invasion of a country is for economic benefits? Is this a backdoor entry for Iraqi oil/Iraqi wealth?

For one, I guess it depends on who the "we" are that you refer to.

I don't believe it would include the US taxpayer footing the bill for that reconstruction, or American soldiers deployed in Iraq.

But maybe you are a member of some group that commonly offers financial rewards to those who seek to see you fail.

And besides, none of those nations have offered up anything resembling significant physical assistance to restoring order, and/or rebuilding Iraq. The richest nations in Europe and they can't pony up dime for the Iraqi people..

But they sure seem to think they deserve their "cut" of that $18 Billion in aid to Iraq.

All they are doing is further alienating the American people and creating further friction.

If they want to bid on those contracts, then let's seem them put the lives of their people on the line as America has.

Until then.. screw 'em..
