Did you miss the part about us having been in this position before and having gotten out of it OK? A democracy does not lie in words on paper. The Mexican Constitution for decades granted citizens rights you would cry your eyes out for. The were meaningless; the country effectively was a fiefdom of one party- -PRI. The President was a dictator for 6 years. A democracy lies in the people within it. If they mean to keep their democracy, they will, and no power on earth, and certainly no man, will stop them. Lincoln never intended to be a dictator. He did not (and would not have had he lived). FDR did not either. Nor does GWB. Your over-the-top rhetoric says nothing about him; it does expose your bias and ignorance, though.
