re:"Alex Jones DVD a bit much for public viewing"

I agree, but its fun to try. What's interesting are the recipients of my copies reactions. It's not the bankers, they already suspect dirty doings as a matter of course but resist that the national level can be as bad as their home turf. It's law-enforcement, who see creeping federal control every year and distrust gov't, and they like whodunnits anyway, it's something to talk about over coffee. They see criminals every day and understand that side of human nature.

It occurs to me these documentaries help get the facts out, much as the advent of the VCR helped hasten overturn of eastern european totalitarian states.

I'm wondering what the brilliant GOP strategists have in mind, among their hundreds of scenarios. I heard one today, from uber-propagandist Frank Luntz on Hardball. The new arrow in the quiver of control of '04 is "preparation for terrorism", so he announces a statistic (only 25% are ready), and while saying its unlikely, focuses on gory details of just how dangerous the world is at every moment, and how much Herr Bush and Herr Ridge have been trying to "instruct" us all.

I don't like the direction that particular initiative is going.
