They were preparing to takeover PDG last year or did you miss that? Goldcorp wants the mine next door badly and were accumulating PDG stock. Do you think that would have been a friendly merger when the talk was tearing apart Placer and selling off the pieces to the highest bidder. From what I know the other majors were lining up for parts. This was when PDG was worth less as a whole than its parts and why it has run up so much. I heard last year it was a target. Dont think it wouldnt have been possible I heard that they had backers.
