Gina,

You'll be happy to know that Mr. Feuerstein got the loan he requested from G.E. to save his company; however, GE Capital's stipulation before approval was that he not be part of management. Heaven forbid that someone with a heart be part of U.S. company management--that's illegal.
Another poster sent me the story on Malden Mills & its wonderful owner--I had to dig for the latest details & was happy to learn he received the loan. Retirement should not be too difficult for him at 79yrs old.
While searching for the latest development, I came upon a news article entitled "Aaron Feuerstein vs Jack Welch". The 20something writer concluded that Jack Welch was the greater humanitarian. I sent him an email letting him know my opinion & informing him that the thousands of jobs for which he gave Welch credit are now being outsourced to 3rd world. Give me Aaron Feuerstein, Warren Buffett & Milton Hershey anyday over the simplicity of firing workers & offshoring American jobs. Aaron, Warren & Milton are men for all seasons--true heroes. Jack Welch is a cold-hearted skirt chaser. Only a gold digger would get close to that almost bald, crackly-voiced scarecrow.
