Let's see what happens in 2005 when the consumer-led 2nd dip of the double-dip recession takes its toll. The overwhelming reason for this expectation is that the US consumer is majorly in debt. Clearly the last recession was a business recession during which the consumer held the economy up as a result of easy money. Now we approach a presidential election year after which the FED will stop reflating and much of today's good news will disappear.

I am not always right... often just too early (although it didn't hurt me too much to have been too early in PMs) and unless one has significant investment real estate, this is not a major issue. I am not currently basing any of my investment decisions on the outcome.
