That would be because you are of such a forgiving nature - right?

Error #1. You addressed your post to the recipient of the the quote, not the author.

Error #2. Although the beneficiary of military protection (that's true in Canada as well as the US), you have no understanding of the way a military works or the sense of service and dedication that sustain it.

Error #3. As for the war crimes trials, I call your attention to the fact that no privates were on trial at Nuremberg.

Error #4. As someone who was actively opposed to the Vietnam escalation during the Kennedy years, I was also opposed to any recriminations against the troops. It was wrong then, and it is wrong now. There are no victims of this catastrophe that are paying a higher price, than the troops in the field

I yield to no one in my abhorrence of the MIC (Military Industrial Complex), and its perversion of civil society. But direct your fire at the culprit - not the victim.

I understand your anger. I'm mad as hell also, but I'm requesting that you channel that anger toward more carefully focused targets than simply blasting away.
