You and I can debate this for eternity but we have to wait and see how the American people think about this act of Bush.

Care to place a wager that they'll be significantly in support of limiting who gets that reconstruction money?

I confident the polls will show at least 60% to 75% in support of Bush..

But I will admit that the manner in which it was handled is less than helpful to getting Iraq's debt nullified by France, Germany, and Russia..

The stage is being set for Iraq to unilaterally renounce all debt incurred under Saddam's regime, IMO.

This will more fully link Iraq to the US since obviously these nations will not take kindly to such an act. In fact, we might actually see these governments initiate subversive and destabilizing activities within Iraq (if they aren't doing so already).
