Ann,

If only your America First thoughts bore any resemblance whatsoever to reality.....

Re: Who will buy the product of company in process of selling out their own country & it's people? Not many.

Let's get back to reality, shall we? Wal-Mart is the largest corporation in America. It is one of the fastest growing. It is destroying American owned and operated competitors faster than any other problem facing American business today.

Wal-Mart cheats its employees by paying far less than living wages, and no benefits. For the great preponderance of people who are employed by Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is at the forefront of the effort to turn America into a third world nation. And they will sell more goods this Christmas season than any other retailer/discounter. The insatiable demand for cheap prices has always trumped good intentions among Americans to support their own communities.

Wal-Mart's stock of goods is overwhelmingly originated in China, and other export centers. Excepting the grocery sections. Finding American manufactured goods in Wal-Mart approaches the difficulty of a scavenger hunt.

So, your idea is great. Americans should support American companies that provide Americans jobs in American communities. Let's start by outlawing Wal-Mart, shall we?

Your federal government perversely rewards companies that move manufacturing off-shore. In fact, the Department of Commerce actively aids companies to relocate off-shore! Is that insane? Or what? Do you see the Chinese government selling out its citizens that way? How about the French? No, they are obviously wrong-headed, trying to protect their own industries and their own communities. How pathetic of them.

This has gotten so perverse that the only manufacturing plant in the world that produces the special magnets for the Air Force's "smart bombs" is going to be relocated, with Dept. of Defense and Dept. of Commerce blessings, from Vincennes, Indiana to China. How's that for protecting our national defense manufacturing base? Who cares about the loss of those 200 family wage jobs when the Department of Death can save $8 on each innocent-child-murdering-bomb we toss out of our airborne death machines? Or how about the titanium processor in West Virginia which is to be sent to Russia, ending production of key titanium component production with Defense Dept. and aerospace applications here in the U.S?

Is this government nuts? Or what?
