Ben: The general "expert" consensus is that the July retail sales, when the final reports are posted tomorrow, are going to be strong enough to cause that old bugaboo "inflation scare" and that knocked bonds down which, in turn, knocked the general market down. Additionally, the "experts" are saying that investors are questioning the high p/e stocks--one of the reasons is today's HEARD ON THE STREET column that questions the valuation of stocks like Coca-Cola. So WMT, with a p/e of about 25, got knocked down with the rest of the Blue Chips.
