Gary: Yes, I see that pattern. I loaded up on WMT a couple of Christmases ago when the company posted its first earnings shortfall, its only shortfall to date, and the stock tanked to 19. I figured that was overkill so I bought a lot--I bought and sold and now I'm sitting on a nice pile of WMT that, counting retrieved earnings and dividends, has a cost basis of less than 15--quite a bit less, I think. I still have a sizeable chunk of WMT shares but they're all in a taxable account and I just can't see selling and paying taxes and commissions since I want this stock for the long term and, IMO and that of a few other investors (Leo not included<G>), this company is a pretty good one to hold for the long term. One of the best forecasts for this company's outlooks was in that Business Week story I posted--it says WMT just might be on track to retain its title as the world's top growth company.

:)

BTW, your post to Ben was excellent--very well thought out.
