TC,

I finally got DSL in my area and decided to set up a wireless 11G router (Netgear WGR614 with a PCI card WG311).

I am running windows ME on one computer and W2K on the other.

The ME machine is hard wired to the router (it connects just fine) and the W2K is has the WG311. I am using WEP and have the checked and rechecked the settings, they are all correct. The problem I have is that the wireless connection is intermittent. I can connect wirelessly for a few hours here and there and the internet and everything works great, then nothing. Is the router bad, do I need to get rid of WEP, what could be wrong? - Also on another note I heard that all systems need to be running the same operating system in order to run WEP, is that true? I am not inclined to believe it because I can connect when running both. There doesn't seem to be any patterns to the connecting and nonconnecting. I am seeing another netgear network on the router running 11G also so I set my channel to 1 (theirs is 11). If you need anymore info about this situation please ask. Thanks ahead of time for the help.
