Marshall,

Visited DANB with my fiance Saturday evening.I'm getting too old for this kind of research.I'm feeling rather old and decrepit today. On the other hand,we had a lot of fun. From a personal standpoint I highly recommend the experience.Mostly hung around the Midway game section, there was a varied and amusing selection of simulations, including the virtual reality visors simulations and sundry racing and shoot-em- up simulations. The racing sims were set up so that up to 4 people could compete with one another in the race,a nice touch. There was a virtual batting cage as well as a virtual 18-hole golf course. You could order food and drink from anywhere in the spacious two floor layout which also held billiard tables, shuffle board games and a bowling alley. They have a special events room which hosts things like mystery murder theator and such.My fiance plans such events for the bank she works at and is planning a mystery murder dinner theatre and said DANB prices for the event were by far the lowest she's heard of and she plans to schedule one at DANB Monday.Service was good except when redeeming tickets for prices.Enjoyed taking breaks at the main bars to get a rest from the noise and action.Just ate appetizers but those were very tasty.Menu prices seemed in line with RAIN.
Business was brisk but not jammed and the focus would shift as the night wore on .On arriving around 6:30 and until 10:00 the restaurant and bar areas seemed to do well. From 8:30 til1:00 the games got increasingly busy.Lots of families when we got there but they kick out the youngsters at 11PM by which time most were gone anyway.Billiards and bowling were full throughout the evening.

Talked extensively with 2 different bartenders. One worked Houston for 2 years the other Philadelphia. Both claimed business is very heavy in those 2 cities as well as Hollywood.Business in Chicago is reportedly steadily growing but not yet at the max.I asked about weekdays and they said it drops between lunch and dinner. The off Rush Street location is good but I think Navy Pier or the Ohio Street strip would do max business.Management is still learning.I plan on checking the Addison,IL one very soon in the afternoon on a weekday.Bartenders claimed most revenues are from the games.

ATIS sounds interesting, keep the info coming.Worked an ambulance enough years to see a lot of diabetics without feet.If you find a company with a cure for a hangover let me know.I'm in!!

Dehydratedly yours,
Dennis
