That's not entirely true. You're willing to discuss Bush, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowitz.

We'll agree to disagree on this. I steadfastly refuse to fall into the political trap that liberals create in their own minds about how stupid or foolish Bush, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz et al happen to be.

To view these enemies of the people, or any political enemy as "foolish" is to make one's own position weaker. I believe it is only by granting due respect that these men have stolen the national government by stealth, subterfuge, guile and cunning that one can begin to counteract them effectively. Handwaving about what fools they are does not make for compelling political persuasion.

that is worth a read. It is a piece of work worthy of the Kremlinologists of old. It parses the minutiae of "our circles" as Condo-sleaza Rice would put it. This is perhaps bad news that Jim Baker has come on board with Bush 43. He could very well prevent the neo-cons from shoving the entire Bush re-election effort over a cliff. I see Bush shifting very substantially toward the middle, politically speaking, and toward pragmatism between now and election time. He may well perceive that his ignoble experiment in radical right wing ideological destruction will have to be temporarily suspended as he must woo voters who aren't as enamored as Bush is about ruining America.
