I don't think the Taiwanese would vote for mainland hegemony, but there's not much we can do about it. We're kind of elsewhere occupied! This is the problem with an elective war, when a REAL problem arises elsewhere, we're already busy. If NK goes south, or Iran goes sour, or China invades Taiwan, all we've got left are harsh language and nukes. With the monkey and the neocons in charge, we might USE them. The world has good reason to fear us now.
