Canada buys it's drugs in bulk for it's health system. It NEGOTIATES with manufacturers for the lowest prices - manufacturers that don't make money on the drugs don't sell them there, and Canada goes elsewhere for a drug in the same class. The truth is, US drug manufacturers gouge Americans. I get all my prescriptions there. The drug bill just passed specifically PROHIBITS such negotiation by Medicare, at the behest of the drug companies.
