Bush's best scenario would have to caught Saddam in the short weeks leading up to the election. This story will fade I don't think it'll fade. There will be the media circus leading up to and including the trial. All in W's favor. He will milk it for all it's worth. You would, I would, who wouldn't. The fact that W got Saddam will not fade. And don't forget Osama. Long time between now and the election. October surprise? Democrats must come up with a product better than W's Saddam in jail (Osama ditto being the possible upgrade). Without a better product Democrats can't compete in this presently cornered market.
