A couple of random observations on today's events:

1) There's already starting to be a bit of a backlash (judging from CBC radio, at least) against the '"unneccesary humiliation" of the medical examination clip ... as Myth once said in another context, was this really necessary?

2) While 'world reaction' in the West was largely congratulatory, both Russia and China managed to stifle that impulse. Russia even had the temerity to mention the U.N. ...
