It was never possible to drive anything but bicycles and hand carts in Chinese cities except Beijing. I travelled through China in the mid 1980s. The density was already there. That's not what the car means. There was a great subway in Beijing 25 years ago. I would say that there's more concentration of people in fewer places in China than the USA and that China has more open space. The area of the countries is very similar, the USA being 9.629 million square kms and China 9.596 million. China has 4.65 times as many people as we do but it felt like more open space to me. I'm long gold stocks and they will finance my return!
