The US doesn't have the resources, manpower, or ultimately the will to embark on any further imperialist ventures, or even sustain this one for long.

That doesn't mean that game won't go on for a while but as a ruling ideology in Washington, PNAC is playing the last few minutes of a game that will not move them on into the playoffs.

If we did have the means and the troops, we would have already invaded a few other places while public opinion was still intact. That moment is long gone now.

Unless Bush reinstates the draft - but even he is not that stupid.
