Joseph, I mostly invest in oil & gas exploration and production companies. The valuation metrics for these are very different than for a company such as SVI.

My favorite Canadian company, which I have a very large position in, is Diaz Resources (DZR.A on the T). They operate both in western Canada and in Texas, about 50/50 presently. They are having tremendous success in Texas.

Another company I have a decent position in is Interoil (IOL.V). This company is far from a microcap though, I believe is market cap exceeds C$500M. They are about 3 months away from getting an oil refinery going in Papua New Guinea, plus they are exploring for oil there.

I'd be glad to provide more info on these but since they are so different from the companies usually discussed here I would gather that there is no interest.
