As I drove in this a.m. to work, I heard news about Powell's prostrate cancer and surgery scheduled for Monday--unclear if this Monday or next.

Explains Baker's trip to Europe and puts to rest all the speculation about Bush being upset with Powell.

My thoughts are with CP. A good man.
