Mass graves, gassing his own people, blah blah blah. Quit trying to build Saddam up into some kind of a threat. Sure he ordered mass murders over his career. He also slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Iranians durng ther war with our backing. Many of the mass graves are Iranians and other cannon fodder. The Kurds weren't his "own people" but when he gassed them there wasn't a peep out of Reagan. This is all just blah blah political propaganda. Saddam was a major creep but he wasn't threatening us in 2002. He was more of a potental threat someday maybe than anything imminent. The danger of Saddam has been hyped to death by the Bushies and it's getting boring. Frankly, Saddam was a paper tiger and a scapegoat. He also had a ton of oil which is the only rational reason for invading him, but the only reason Bushies never give.
