Well, I suspected yesterday after seeing the pathetic Saddam Hussein all over the news, that this event (SH capture) would usher in the start of the downplay of terrorism as THE key issue in the elections.

Howard Dean still needs to shore up in this area with a VP or cabinet post to win, I suspect. But the reaction to the Saddam Hussein capture puts a new spin on this fearmongering that the Bush white house is trying to perpetuate. We lost lives and money to capture Saddam Hussein- a paper tiger in all respects. He's secretly planning the attacks on Americans from his cave in the boondocks with what, a tin can and string? If I were the Bush white house I would have stopped the airing of the Saddam capture pictures, its an embarrassment.

We now have statements from the man himself that there are no WMDs in Iraq. I don't think this SH capture is a huge win for Bush. We'll have to see the polls in a few weeks, but I'll bet it turns out like the Thanksgiving event, a lot of euphoria and later a sort of disgust.

Bush doesn't have many more Kodak moments to pull out of a hat for his campaign. If we get OBL, now THAT would be big. That would likely guarantee a Bush win. But not this Iraq/Hussein mess. This makes Bush look like someone with extremely poor judgement, that is all.
