We seem to bog down in this thread (and the free world <ggg>) with being critical and finding fault. I've been guilty of it and most of the posters even on a moderate thread have.

I don't suggest using the term "only superpower" in a macho way. I suggest using it as a total picture which includes a moral imperative. I see real problems with the "bring it on" talk but I understand how these statements are made, particularly after 9/11.

We see nations complaining about not getting a contract to rebuild and yet refusing to write-off billions in debt that went to Saddam and his minions. Iraq will never flourish if it has to repay the billions over the next decade.

All have to give - time to look forward - there can only be a coalition if there are willing partners. Naysaying without solutions and real sacrifice won't get us off the unilateral track.
