Well, both of them are convinced they are "moderates". To
me, it's what you actually say & opine that determines
your real political leanings. If they are "moderates",
then Bush, Lieberman, Zell Miller, John Breaux, Ben
Nelson, Olympia Snowe, George Voinovich and Susan Collins,
ET AL, are off the chart Right Wing Extremist's.
I've found that most folks believe their overall POV is
"moderate", therefore their political POV is "moderate".
Likewise most folks view others who have differing POV's
clearly are not "moderates". Unfortunately, some folks,
generally those who feel they are intellectually superior,
are so far removed from reality that they can't see their
POV is anything but "moderate", even when they have
genuinely extreme POV's.
IMO, these elitists are convinced that their self
assumed intellectual superiority, compared to schmucks
like you & I, makes their POV the correct POV, therefore
it is a "moderate" POV....... regardless of the facts.
And I'm sure that you know that it's hard enough debating
a difference of opinion with other non-elitist schmucks.
Try debating any difference of opinion with an elitist who
is convinced they are intellectually superior to you.
Facts, logic, reason & reality make no difference to them
because dumb schmucks like us couldn't possibly prove them
to be wrong about anything.
