Hawk, Bush needs to seize the moment and get out of Iraq quicker than he said he would do. However they need to maintain the no fly zone, ensure that the Turkish, Syrian and Iranian military do not march in after the US withdraws and leave the Iraqis to decide for themselves what they need to do. Chinu, I might actually enjoy your posts if you would do us all the courtesy of applying even a minute amount of logic to them... Because look what you suggesting.. Bush needs to have US troops leave ASAP (when is that?).. But you still believe that the US should "ensure" that Iraq's neighbors don't march in and take over... How are we supposed to do that if we don't have any troops in Iraq? And, of course, it says nothing about the power vacuum the departure of US troops will cause in the country.. Why don't you just get a grip, alright? Just sit back and let those who actually understand what is going on protect you and I.. Because most of those troops in Iraq understand why they are there, even if you don't. I mean, just look at where you're posting those datelines.. They're from Baghdad.. And OF COURSE the Sunnis aren't happy about Saddam's capture. They aren't going to be happy about his trial either because his crimes were tolerated, if not facilitated, by the Sunni tribes. But did you bother to think about the other 70% of the Iraqi population, the Kurds and Shiites? They're ESTATIC!! Hawk
