ibexx, off topic: at the risk of repeating yourself, can you please explain the 50 ways of hedging? today i read evey single posts on this thread and i usually don't even get around to visiting this thread so i missed your point re: "short against the box on leaps" , does that mean you buy $ 80 leap and then sell $100 leap? what does that got to do with owning the stock underneath? if you buy a leap and sell another ? a little confused about this one, with a little hint or a pointer to previous post would do thanks. i could not find a post. i am stuck w. whole bunch a leaps some i will exercise and others i would sell but tax implications were too high and wanted to wait for jan 98. thx for your help. Also, don't understatnd how shorting against the box has any usefulness beyond taxes?
