He's assuming that we follow the same pattern we did during the gold bear, I assume we follow a more late 70's trajectory vis-a-vis gold.

FWIW, last wednesday Richard Russell posted a chart of homestake mining from 1924-1935. It basically went straight up. In the 29 crash it looks like it went from approx 85 to 70, and there were some dips from approx 145 to 120 in 1931, but otherwise is was straight up from 50 to 500 (80-500 from the end of 1930). I think that's a much better model and its too tough to game the peaks and troughs. My guess is that we get a bigger range this time and the best thing to do is hang on and buy dips.
