I don't think you read the authorization. But clearly the actions taken by Bush have fractured world relations. That is not a victory in the war on terror, a war that requires good communication between the free nations of the world.

The war in Iraq has not made the world safer from terrorism. It simply was a detour from our mission against bin Laden.

The capture of Saddam in an opportunity to reconcile with the nations of the world, gain cooperation and assistance, and then redouble the efforts against Al Qaeda.

Lets hope for a new direction from this administration.

Funny, I was one of the 90% of Americans that supported Bush when he sent troops to Afghanistan. As the rhetoric turned towards Iraq, I saw early on that this was not the right direction to go in, and certainly not in the manner that Bush chose. This president lost my support when he announced the pre-emptive war in Iraq. The premise for the war is ever changing with new revisionist justifications weekly.
