Kerry is right. Dean should not have said we're not safer with Saddam captured. Even if it turns out to be true, he doesn't know for sure yet, and it's demoralizing to the troops to hear a potential president say such thing. If nothing else, we have to let the troops and Iraqi people enjoy the capture. Happier troops and happier Iraqis make for less cost to this war. Dean has proven to me that I was right jumping off his bandwagon. I was only on it for about 12 hours due to my respect for Al Gore. But maybe Al made a mistake.
