I don't see Dean's negatives going up in the polls due to all these attacks. He seems to be able to weather these minor storms pretty easily. It is still early and most voters are not yet focused on either Dean or the election. I would expect the DNC-DLC oriented Democratic candidates to continue their drum beat about how Dean in unelectable. At some point, the collective pounding might take a toll. If you recall, Bush had a series of minor storms in 1999. He was able to weather these incidents mainly because he had the GOP establishment solidly in his corner. Dean does not have that luxury. Even though he endorsed Dean, I would suggest that Al Gore is not currently a card carrying member of the DNC inner circle. Kerry's new found interest in Iowa may actually help Dean. I would think that Kerry might appeal more to Gephardt's base.
