they did little except look for way to feather their own nests and obstruct real reconciliation. No idea if that is truly the case in Iraq,

Bremer expressed a lot of frustration about the Iraqi Governing Council lately because when they were supposed to be meeting to write a new Constitution, they couldn't raise a quorum because most members were out working on business deals.

So, yeah, it's the same in Iraq.
