So these new entrants have enough technology and manufacturing experience to undercut the established manufacturers? I doubt it. Even a Chinese company paying low wages will either produce obsolete products at cut rate prices or will have difficulty competing with either SanDisk or Samsung. Much of the manufacturing of flash memory is automated, so the fact that wages are lower in China doesn't make all that much difference. The views on Briefing.com that you quoted are another example of poor quality analysis that had a predictable impact, at least on short sellers. Art
