Saddam was hated by the Iraqis. Apparently not all of them.. There were a number of pro-Saddam rallies yesterday and today that needed to be broken up by coalition forces. Osama on the other hand is loved by the people in the region protecting him. He has managed to gain their cooperation by living in very modest conditions, he does not torture the people around him etc. And so he has better societal protectiom The Taliban didn't torture anyone? Come on now.. you really believe that? There are quite a few Afghanis who would beg to differ with you. Hawk
